Regardless of what you want to get motivated about, the answer always begins with action. Action comes first, motivation comes after.
The key is not to wait for motivation, but to take some, small, specific action to get the ball rolling. And once the ball is rolling, it begins to gather momentum, and the motivation to continue arises naturally and on its own.
To make this happen you need to develop ”Action triggers” around the things you feel demotivated to do. The idea is to choose a small and simple thing you can do right now that gets you going.
Want to get motivated to workout? Don’t start by thinking about your workout if it overwhelms you and prevents you from working out. Instead, choose a simple action, like putting on your gym clothes. This minuscule action will often trigger you to the next action, hitting the gym.
Want to get motivated to eat healthier? Don’t start by thinking about all the foods you can’t eat. Start by going to the grocery store and buying healthy nutrient dense foods. Then clear your fridge & pantry of all the crap food.
STOP saying: “I need to get motivated to take action”
START saying: “I need to take action to get motivated.”
